In Bosnian language, objects have sex.
Masculine objects usually end with a quiet letter.
Neutral ones usually end up with an “O”. With a few exceptions, these rules are always valid.
For Example: Olovka = Pencil (Feminine)
Sat = Time (Masculine))
Staklo = Glass Neutral)
Names are words used to describe people, place, and anything in the bosom.
1 – masculine (singular) names: ends with a silent letter.
For Example: Grad = City, Kompjuter = Computer, Dječak = Boy
2 – masculine (plural) names: ends with the letter “I”.
For Example: Gradovi = Cities, Kompjuteri = Computers, Dječaci = Boys
3 – feminine names: usually ends with the letter “a”. Very little can be done with a silent letter.
For Example: Mačka = Cat, Djevojka = Girl, Tačka = Dot
4 – feminine (plural) names: ends with the letter”E” or “I” :
For Example: Mačke = Cats, Djevojke = Girls, Tačke = Dots
5 – neutral (singular) names:
For Example: Oledalo = Mirror, Mjesto = Region
6-neutral (plural) names:
For Example: Oledala = Mirrors, Mjesta = Regions
