Syntax

Greek has a simple syntax. So The Subject+Verb+Object.
For example: O Kostas irthe = Kostas has arrived. – Kostas is here –
– The syntax of Modern Greek is flexible.
For example: Yönverz θε κσστας = Irthe O Kostas = Kostas has arrived.

– Objective pronouns in Greek are usually written in front of the verb.
Önample: ο καπετάνος τον είδεε χτές = O kapetanios ton ide htes = the captain saw him yesterday.
– Possessive pronouns come after the name.
That’s φίλος σας = that’s fleet SAS = your friend.

Question Form

To ask a question, a special syntax is not used, the question is asked at the end of the sentence can be distinguished by the tonalities made.

for example:
That’s the guy. = O Kostas irthe = Kostas has arrived.
O Kostas irthe = Kostas has arrived ?
In modern Greek, questions are displayed with semicolons.

Πόσος; = Posos; = how much? / How much?

For example: Πόσο πρέπει να πληρρεσω = Poso prepi na plirox = how much do I have to pay?

Question Adjectives

PIA; Pio; which ?

For example: Ποιό φλυτένι θέλετε; = Pio flicani thelete; = which Cup would you like?
