Azerice is one of the dialects of Turkish, which is the branch of the West(Oguz) Turkish.
the southern Caucasus, Iran, Iraq and Syria have started to form in some parts of the century. The history of the Azerbaijani language has three stages:
Old Azerice (14-16. century)
Classic Azerice (16-19. century),
Modern Azerice (20. century.)
Today, Azeri has two main branches: Azeri of Soviet Azerbaijan and Azeri of Iranian Azerbaijan. Azerice has not completely left the Turkish language. In particular, there are great similarities between the Eastern Anatolian mouths (for example, the mouth of Erzurum) and Azerice.
The languages of the Iraqi Turkmens and the Terekem and Karapak groups living in Kars and its environs are similar to Azerbaijani Turkish.
